Held in 2007 and 2008 due to 'demand', a supporting race for those categories not eligible to enter the CiCLE Classic has taken place on the morning of the CiCLE Classic.
Open to Juniors, Women, and third and fourth categories the East Midlands CiCLE Classic Kermesse has been sponsored by Metatek over 4 laps of the Owston-Burrough circuit to be used later in the day by the field of the International CiCLE Classic.
Held under the Technical Regulations of the British Cycling Federation, the race has been categorised REGIONAL 'B'.
Open to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, category seniors, Juniors & Women
Entry fee £14 in advance, or £16 entry on the line.
Distance 40 kms (4 laps)

It has now been confirmed that the Kermesse will go ahead in 2009 but with a new organiser.
